I.Overview

Grease Injection Head With Stuffing Box is a surface pressure control device used to lubricate cables (or wire) and seal wellheads by injecting sealing grease into flow tube. The high pressure seal grease output from the grease pump enters the lower part of the flow tube and flows upward. In this process, the seal grease mixes part of the downhole oil and gas and finally drains out from the upper outlet of the flow tube. Due to the large viscosity of the sealing grease, the gap between the flow tube. and the cable (or wire) is very small, and the grease injection pressure of the grease pump is slightly higher than the wellhead pressure, so that a part of the sealing grease flows to the wellhead, most of it flows upstream, generating a great pressure in the flow tube, so as to achieve the purpose of sealing the wellhead pressure. Flow Tube is the key component of grease injection head. Its inner wall is smooth and its length changes with the difference of well pressure. The higher the well pressure, the longer the well length.

IIII.Usage:

1. Pass the cable through the manual gland and piston, pass through the flow tube to the lower sub, and then make the cable rope socket;

2. Install the grease injection head on the lubricator;

3. Grease injection head and grease injection pump are connected by grease injection hose and grease return hose; The hydraulic control hose is connected to the cylinder.

4. Start the grease injection pump and open the grease return valve to discharge the sealed grease from the grease return hose;

5. Select different flow tubes according to different cable diameters.

IIIII.Matters needing attention

1. The gap between the flow tube and the cable (or wire) is guaranteed to be 0.1-0.2mm; For cables (or wires) of different diameters, flow tubes of different inner diameters should be selected; And due to the wear between the flow tube and the cable (or wire), the flow tube should be checked regularly;

2. The sealing grease flowing out of the grease return port can not be reused because of the well fluid.

3. Strength test should be carried out when used again after long-term storage;

4. After each well, check whether the O-ring of the joint is damaged and replace it in time.
