Since the beginning of this year, China has vigorously promoted the construction of oil and gas pipeline network infrastructure, and a number of national key projects have accelerated the construction and smoothly put into operation. From January to September, the mileage of China's new main oil and gas pipelines has exceeded 2,500 kilometers, hitting a record high.
At present, the key project of the national "14th Five-Year Plan" oil and natural gas development plan - the West to East four-line natural gas pipeline project Xinjiang main line pipeline, a total length of 583 kilometers, after more than a year of construction, welding has been officially completed. The entire project is expected to be completed in October 2024, and can transport 30 billion cubic meters of natural gas to the central and eastern regions every year.
Yan Huibin, head of the comprehensive management Department of Xinjiang Project Department of the West Fourth Line of the National Pipeline Network Group: After the West Fourth Line is completed and put into operation, it will be jointly operated with the West second line and the West Third line to further improve China's Northwest energy Channel, improve the pipeline transmission capacity of China's natural gas pipeline network system, and improve the anti-risk ability of energy transmission.
China has vigorously promoted the construction of oil and gas pipeline network infrastructure, and a number of interconnection projects have been completed. Five main natural gas pipelines, namely the China-Russia Eastern Route, the West-East gas transmission line, the Sichuan-East gas transmission line, the Qingning Pipeline and the Suzhou-Anhui Pipeline, are fully interconnected in Jiangsu Province, and their annual capacity of transfer is 7.5 billion cubic meters. The interconnection project between Zhongkai Line and Pingtai Line was successfully completed, providing more gas transmission channels for Wen23 Gas storage, the largest natural gas storage in central and eastern China. The pipeline has a total length of 4,269 km Sichuan gas East transmission second line pipeline, and recently officially started construction, which is a key step in the construction of China's natural gas pipeline network "five vertical and five horizontal" new pattern, and the project can transport more than 20 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year after completion.
Qi Jianhua, general manager of the Engineering Department of the National Pipe Network Group: In the first three quarters, the total mileage of the pipeline construction of the National pipe network Group exceeded 2,500 kilometers, an increase of 30% year-on-year, reaching a record high. We have accelerated the construction of a "national network" with an optimized layout, extensive coverage, complete functions, and smooth access to the outside and inside, which has further consolidated the material foundation for ensuring national energy security and smooth domestic circulation.
During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China plans to build more than 20,000 kilometers of new pipelines. In the past three years, the National Pipeline Network Group has started more than 170 construction projects, the welding mileage of new projects has exceeded 10,000 kilometers, and the pipeline mileage that is ready for operation has reached 11,300 kilometers, the mileage of natural gas pipelines has increased by 21%, and the interconnection transfer capacity has increased by 57%.
