I. Overview:
The X-type running tool is a special tool for putting X/XN-type lock cores. It can selectively put the fluid control device with X/XN-type lock cores into the X/XN-type seating joints in the well.

III.Structural features:
X-type running tool is mainly composed of fishing neck, main barrel, stop pin, main spring, spring sleeve, positioning claw spring, split ring, positioning claw, positioning claw sleeve, crescent block, fishing claw and mandrel. The assembly drawing is shown in the attached drawing.
During the putting operation, the fishing claw is caught in the inner fishing neck of the lock cylinder, and the lock cylinder is connected to the mandrel with a shear pin; the crescent block is stuck in the groove of the mandrel to prevent it from moving. When the X-type running tool enters the seating joint, the positioning claw will fall back into the groove of the main cylinder; after passing the seating joint, the positioning claw will automatically open under the action of the positioning claw spring. After passing the target to locate the joint, lift up the tool string, and the positioning claw drives the positioning claw sleeve to move down so that the positioning claw is stuck in the groove of the main barrel. At this time, the crescent block releases the mandrel and the lock core key bounces to sit on the positioning joint. In the keyway of the lock cylinder. Shock downward to cut off the shear pin of the X-type running tool, and then shake upward to cut the shear pin of the lock cylinder to pull out the tool.
IV, the method of using the X-type lock cylinder:
1. Check the tool to make sure it can move between selective and non-selective positions:
The assembled tool is in the selected state: there is no gap between the fishing neck and the spring sleeve, and the mandrel is locked by the crescent block.
1.1 Clamp the fishing neck of the X-type running tool horizontally on the vise;
1.2 Check that the positioning claw should be in an open state; pushing the positioning claw upwards should be able to fall into the main barrel groove; releasing the positioning claw, it should be able to return to the original position;
1.3 Pull the spring sleeve by hand, the positioning claw should be able to be stuck in the groove of the main cylinder.
The tool is now in a non-selected state.
2. Connect the lock cylinder:
2.1 Flush out the shear pins of the X-type running tool;
2.2 Pull the mandrel to make the fishing claw fall into the mandrel groove;
2.3 As required, connect a balance probe or other post on the lower end of the mandrel;
2.4 Insert the X-type running tool into the lock core, align the shear pin hole at the lower end of the mandrel with the shear pin hole of the lock core, and insert the shear pin;
2.5 Install the shear pins of the upper and lower insert tools, and tighten the hexagon socket flat-end set screws;
2.6 Use a screwdriver (or other suitable tool) to pry in the gap between the fishing neck and the spring sleeve, pinch the upper end of the positioning claw with both hands to open the positioning claw; at the same time, pull out the screwdriver to release the spring. The tool is now restored to the selected state.
3. Connect the assembled running tool and lock core to the basic tool string and go down the well;
4. After reaching the destination joint, continue to go down one or two sections of oil pipe (when passing the joint, you need to shock through the sealing section), and record the tension table value at this time for reference;
5. Lift up the tool to the upper part of the connector where the target is located, at this time the lock core key pops up in a non-selected state;
6. Lower the tool string, and the lock cylinder can be seated in the joint;
7. Shock downwards to cut off the shear pins of the running tool;
8. Shock upwards to cut off the connecting shear pin between the running tool and the lock cylinder; when the tool is pulled out, the lock cylinder is in a locked state.
V. How to use the XN type lock cylinder:
1. Connect the X-type running tool to the lock cylinder and adjust it to the non-selected state to go down the well;
2. Go down to the bottom of the connector where XN is located, and then lift it up slightly;
3. Lower the tool string, the lock cylinder can be seated in the connector;
4. Shock downward to cut off the shear pins of the running tool;
5. Shock upwards to cut off the connecting shear pin between the running tool and the lock cylinder; the tool is pulled out and the lock cylinder is in a locked state.
Note: If the XN-type seating joint is below several X-type seating joints, in order to protect the top shear pin when the packing passes through the sealing section of the seating joint during shock, it can be inserted in a selective state; in the XN-type seating The last X-shape above the joint is seated in the joint and moves to a non-selective state.
VI, maintenance:
1. After the tool is disassembled, check the damage of each part and replace the damaged parts.
2. When assembling, a thin layer of grease should be applied to the thread surface.
3. After assembling, put the protective wire on the thread of the salvage neck connection and mark it for later use.
